Welcome to the Openkom User Guide!

This guide provides step-by-step instructions to help you navigate and make the most of your Openkom experience. Whether you’re ordering food, making reservations, managing your profile, or redeeming rewards, this guide covers everything you need. Follow these simple guidelines to explore restaurants, track orders, earn rewards, and enjoy seamless transactions on Openkom.

Getting Started 

  1. From the login screen, tap Sign Up to proceed to the signup page.
  2. Fill in all required fields with the necessary information, then swipe on the Sign Uptoggle to continue.
    1. Username: Must meet the required length.
    2. Email Address: Must be valid.
    3. Password: Must meet the required length and security criteria.
    4. Referral Code: Enter if applicable.

  1. Read and check the Terms of Servicebox to proceed.
  1. Check your email (including spam folder) for a verification code.
  2. Enter the code in the Verification Codefield and tap Verify to confirm your email.
  3. Alternatively, you can sign up using Facebook or Google:
    1. Facebook: Tap the Facebookicon and follow the login process.
    2. Google: Tap the Googleicon and select the email linked to your mobile device.
  1. Once verified, tap Nextto choose your preferred language.
  1. On the Language Selectionscreen, tap the drop-down menu to select your preferred language. This can be changed later in Settings.
  1. On the Categoriespage, select your favourite food categories. You can choose more than one, and this can be updated later in Settings. Tap Next to proceed.
  1. Once completed, you will be redirected to the Home Screen. Congratulations! You have successfully signed up for Openkom.

Basic Navigation

  1. Navigate between the Homeand Profile screens by tapping the icons on the bottom navigation bar.

How to Order

  1. Browse through the available open stores to explore food options.
  1. Choose your preferred service: Dine-In, Takeaway, Delivery, or Booking.
  1. Select your desired meals and add them to your cart.
  2. Once you’ve finalized your selection, tap Place Orderto proceed.
  1. Choose your preferred payment method: Cash, FPX, or Card, and follow the prompts to complete your payment.

Basic Navigation - Home Screen

Notifications

  1. Tap the Notificationicon in the top right corner of the home screen to view notifications.
  1. To access your messages, tap the Messageicon within the notifications screen.
  1. In the Messages screen, you can chat with merchants or vendors.
  1. To start a new conversation, tap the New Chaticon in the bottom right corner.
  1. Return to the home screen by tapping the Back button in the top left corner.

Scan QR

  1. Tap the Scan icon in the top right corner of the home screen to scan a restaurant menu or make a payment using a QR code.

Location

  1. To change your delivery location, tap the Locationicon on the home screen. This will redirect you to the maps screen.
  1. On the Maps screen, tap the Currentbutton to set your location to your current position.
  1. For a more precise location, enter your address in the search bar.

My List

  1. Tap the My Listicon in the categories tab on the home screen to view your most recent and favorite restaurants.

Delivery

  1. Tap the Delivery icon in the categories tab on the home screen to view restaurants offering delivery services.
  1. Select your preferred food category from the categories section on the delivery screen.
  2. Search for specific food items by typing in the search bar.
  1. Tap on a restaurant to view its menu.

Booking

  1. Tap the Booking icon in the categories tab on the home screen to make a restaurant reservation.
  1. Search for a specific restaurant by typing its name in the search bar.
  1. View past booking history by tapping the History

  1. Select your preferred restaurant to proceed with the booking.
  1. On the Table Booking page, fill in the required details and tap Confirm to confirm your booking:
    1. Select the number of guests
    2. Choose a date
    3. Choose a time slot
    4. Select indoor or outdoor dining
    5. Choose smoking or non-smoking zone
    6. Enter any remarks for the restaurant
  1. Review your reservation before proceeding. If needed, tap Editto make changes.
  2. Download your booking details by tapping Download Slip on the booking details screen.

Basic Navigation – Profile Screen

Edit Profile

  1. Tap the Edit icon on the profile screen to update your personal information.
  2. On the Edit Profile screen, enter the required details and tap Save Changes to confirm.
    1. Display Name – This will be shown on your profile.
    2. Gender – Select your gender.
    3. About Me – Enter a short bio (displayed on your profile).
    4. Date of Birth – Must be in DD/MM/YYYY format.
    5. Phone Number – Enter a valid contact number.
    6. Country – Select your country.
    7. Address – Enter your delivery address.

Rewards

  1. Tap the Rewards icon on the profile screen to view your rewards.
  2. Check in daily to earn coins, which can be redeemed for rewards.

Activities

  1. Tap the Activities icon to view your recent activity history.

Wallet

  1. Tap the Wallet icon to access and manage your wallet balance.

Emergency

  1. Tap the Emergency icon to view emergency contact details.
  2. Add a new emergency contact by tapping the Add a new contact button and entering the required details.

Vouchers

  1. Tap the Vouchers icon to view available vouchers.

Feedback

  1. Tap the Feedback icon to submit feedback or a complaint.

Favourite

  1. Tap the Favourites icon to view your favorite restaurants and bookings.

Booking

  1. Tap the Booking icon to view or manage your reservations.
